UNIVERSAL GENÈVE WATCH GREY DIAL CA. 1960
490,00 €
A superb example of a model from the iconic Universal Genève.
This watch, likely manufactured around 1966, is unique because its gray dial features a sunburst finish that shifts in color depending on the light, giving it a distinctive charm. This type of dial finish was popular in the late 1960s. Its stainless steel case and flat lugs were notably used on models designed for Hermès in the 1960s and 1970s.
The stainless steel caseback is clipped on and reveals a manual winding mechanism, the caliber 42, well known to the brand.
The watch is in its original condition, featuring a stunning brand-new Universal Genève crocodile leather strap in a glossy brown finish, along with a buckle signed by the renowned jeweler Bucherer.
The set is in excellent condition and exhibits the elegance typical of the “watchmaker-designer.”
