RARE ZODIAC WATCH CATALOG CA. 1960
250,00 €
A rare catalog presenting the complete collection of the famous Zodiac watches.
The origins of Zodiac go back to 1882, when Ariste Calame, the son of a watchmaker, set up a workshop to manufacture specialized watches. He was obsessed with the idea of creating the most precise watch of all time. The result of his painstaking work was the first Zodiac, a pocket watch with a unique character. The foundations were laid for a whole series of technical marvels in the Swiss watchmaking world.
In the early 1940s, Zodiac became the official supplier to the Swiss PTT and railroads. The brand released a multitude of avant-garde and iconic timepieces, and was one of the first Swiss companies to offer quartz watches in the early 1970s.
Probably dating from the 1960s, this model is in remarkable, near-new condition. Intended for the German market, it details the men's and women's collections of the time, along with their prices, expressed here in Deutsche Mark. Everything's here, from Glorious, Hermetic and Datographic to the Olympos, Sea Wolf and other collections.
A must-have for all brand owners and collectors.
