ULYSSE NARDIN WATCH HAMMERED COPPER CA. 1970
850,00 €
Rare watch from the renowned Ulysse Nardin watch brand.
Over a period of a century, 77% of the marine chronometers tested by the Neuchâtel Astronomical Observatory came from the Ulysse Nardin Manufacture. The Manufacture's reputation for precision extends beyond the naval field: Ulysse Nardin chronographs are used for scientific expeditions and sporting competitions, including the Olympic Games.
No chronometry here, but a model of its time: this is a model from the early 1970s, fitted with a Milanese bracelet integrated into the case, a fashionable style at the time, seen at Juvenia and Universal Genève in particular.
It's rarer to find this type of watch at Ulysse Nardin, which is more rooted in classic forms, and less "couture" than some of the others mentioned above.
The rectangular format, parallel to the wrist, is typical of these years. The format is relatively present, masculine, and enhanced by its copper-edged, hammered dial, giving a peachy tone contrasting with the steel of the whole.
The watch is equipped with a manual winding mechanism caliber Ulysse Nardin ND10C with 21 jewels. All parts are original and in generally good condition.
A beautiful piece for fans of the brand.
