SEIKO OCTOGONE WATCH 11-8060 CA. 1975
SOLD
Here we present a rare model from Seiko dating from 1975.
Seiko released a multitude of models with very interesting designs, particularly before the quartz crisis that would affect the global watchmaking industry. This is evident in this ultra-minimalist model, with its ultra-design and jewelry-like appearance.
The octagonal case, with its clean, angular lines, perfectly reflects the spirit of 1970s industrial design. Inspired by brutalist architecture and the avant-garde trends of the era, it gives the watch a strong and instantly recognizable identity. The sharp edges, combined with a brushed finish, contrast with the polished surfaces, accentuating the play of light and the depth of the case.
Its deep blue dial, with no hour markers except for a small pavé at 12 o'clock, treated almost like a lacquered mirror, is simple and distinctive, giving this model a special character. The whole is powered by a Seiko mechanical hand-wound movement.
