SEIKO ASYMMETRICAL WATCH 11-4230 CA. 1975
SOLD
Here we present a rare Seiko model straight out of the Seventies.
Seiko brought out a multitude of models with very interesting designs, particularly before the quartz crisis that hit the world watchmaking industry.
This ultra-minimalist, ultra-design model is in the same stylistic vein as Rolex's incomparable "King Midas" model.
There's also a family resemblance with Toledano & Chan's more contemporary B/1 model.
The asymmetrical design of its bracelet, made by Stelux, which at the time produced bracelets for Zodiac and Tissot, is clearly what catches the eye at first glance.
Its deep-blue dial, with no indexes except for a small pavement at 12 o'clock, is treated almost like a lacquered mirror, and its simplicity gives this model a special cachet. Driven by a Seiko mechanical hand-wound movement. For wrists up to approx. 17 cm.
This copy is in complete, unpolished original condition. Collector's item.
