UNIVERSAL GENÈVE "JONCS" WATCH, CA. 1975

Here we present a model from a series unveiled around 1975 at the Basel Fair. A design typical of that era combined with the classicism of Roman numerals. This model is a ladies’ version of the “Gilt Shadow” series, featuring the quartz version equipped with the Caliber 74 released in 1974, which leads us to believe that this design is none other than the work of Gerald Genta. Until now, only gold was suitable for crafting such a case: slender, rounded bands; a beautiful, lightweight design; and the exclusive swivel clasp that allows it to fit any wrist size. Universal Genève’s style has successfully combined traditional craftsmanship with the most modern techniques, all while showcasing the elegance of stainless steel.
